Assessment & Evaluation
Artifact 1
Description
I created this assessment proposal for an online course about audio engineering, specifically the use of compressors, limiters, and gates. The assessment included multiple choice questions and short essay sections.
Rationale
This assessment was designed to align with instruction, and as well as with the learner's goals. Though the assessment is simple, one of the goals of the instruction is to create a baseline of some terminology and techniques to help scaffold more complex learning later in the course. This simple assessment, with that in mind, functions as a formative assessment. This aligned assessment and evaluation is evidence of proper use of professional knowledge and skills.

Artifact 2
Description
I co-created an assessment and evaluation plan for instructors to learn skills in a new learning management system (LMS). This plan is based around a very brief piece of video instruction that serves to give the learners an introduction into how to customize their LMS course sites.
Rationale
The intention of this assessment and evaluation was to create a plan to easily measure authentic learning experienced through the use of this instruction, which in this case was measured by learners (in this case, university instructors) making changes to their actual LMS course sites. This shows proficiency with AECT standards through assessment and evaluation to improve the learning environment. It also aligns instruction and learner goals that in a way that demonstrates professional knowledge and skills.
